Highly Experienced Remedial Educator and Child Counsellor | Foundation and Intermediate Phase
I am a Remedial Educator and Child Counsellor with over 40 years of hands on experience supporting children in the Foundation and Intermediate Phases who struggle with reading, learning difficulties, attention challenges, anxiety, or low confidence.
I work with children who are falling behind at school, becoming emotionally overwhelmed, or losing belief in their own abilities. Many of the learners I support present with ADHD, dyslexia, processing difficulties, or emotional stress that directly affects learning.
My approach is structured, calm, and individualised. I provide targeted remedial and reading support alongside emotional guidance, ensuring each child feels safe, understood, and supported. Every learner receives a practical Individualised Education Plan focused on achievable progress and steady improvement.
My counselling background, including many years of experience with Childline, allows me to identify the underlying barriers to learning early and address them with sensitivity and clarity. Parents often notice improved confidence, better coping at school, and measurable academic progress within a school term.

Experienced in Foundation and Intermediate Phase intervention, multidisciplinary collaboration, and long-term learner support. Former Childline counsellor with strong expertise in emotional regulation, behavioural support, and child-centred intervention. Committed to holistic development through integrated academic and emotional support strategies.
