I come from Mauritius, a multi-cultural country which is mainly why I can speak 4 languages fluently (French, English, Creol and Urdu). I am currently a Masters candidate at UCT and would like to help people improve their french during my free time.

Experience: - Chemical engineering intern at Omnicane Ltd, L’Escalier, Mauritius (Sep-Oct 2018)
Conducted a short study on the performance of the scum treatment process in the cane sugar refinery in terms of sucrose extraction and analysed the flow of water in and out of the refinery.

-Project engineer assistant at Sotramon Limitée, Pailles, Mauritius (Jun-Jul 2016)
Worked as a trainee for the construction and erection of a Carbon Burn Out (CBO) facility at Omnicane in L’Escalier. The internship involved mainly engineering reporting, P&ID drawings, data retrieval and working in team.

-Accountant intern at MABCO Services, Port-Louis, Mauritius (Jul/Dec 2015)
Helped in the basic administration tasks and worked in the accounting and book-keeping department.

-In-service trainee at Tronox, Namakwa Sands, South Africa (Jul 2015)
Worked in a team of five on a small project involving heat integration to cut down fuel consumption of fluidised bed dryers and performed a mass balance over the spiral separation system within the mining plant.
