Information about Banele
5th year medical student at the University of Cape, Was a top ten achiever in Mpumalanga province in my matric year (2013).
Sign language advocate and lover, check my online presence.
very Passionate about Education and helping others.
I am a hard-working, self-motivated, collaborative and dedicated individual who is always open to new challenges, opportunities to grow and experience new ventures. I have proven leadership skills and believe that my high energy levels add a new dimension to the workplace. Furthermore, I also have the ability to work better in a team, the ability to work independently and the ability to work and deliver while under pressure. I value honesty, integrity, reliability and punctuality at all times.
Throughout my first 4 years of study at the University of Cape Town, one has encountered many challenges that have shaped and developed my self-discipline, leadership, self-motivation, patience, perseverance, the need for financial freedom and my devotion to help others. I have also experienced challenges that have tested my determination to achieve, however, the most satisfactory experience comes from when I began to understand the potential power of service. I believe that when one lives a life of service you learn, grow and gain knowledge that creates a great and effective impact in oneâs life.
I have always been eager to serve as a Tutor. I am impressed by the opportunities, positive challenges and growth offered by the position and I believe that the position suits my personality and skills I have acquired. Through projects and initiatives such as being part of the Leo Marquard hall mentorship and signing in team, Clarinus village Sub-Comm, UCT ICTS Computer Lab Assistant and being a Student front desk assistant, I have acquired skills in residence management, processes, collaboration and resources that will be advantageous for my role as a Sub-warden. I have also been part of Outreach initiatives such as the UCT DEAF research team, Mpumalanga Sisonke Youth Development (MSYD), the Eureka Mentorship Programme and other initiatives, from these involvements I have developed analytical, strategic, critical reasoning skills, good communication, leadership, management, Conflict resolution, Crisis intervention, First aid, psychology/Basic counselling, collaborative and safety skills. I believe that the skills I have acquired coupled with my eagerness to learn and grow will be further advantageous for my role as a Sub-warden.
Finally, being at one of the best Universities on the continent has changed the way I view and approach problems, society and the world at large. It has revolutionized the nature of my mind, my lifeâs purpose and it has also unleashed my desire to impact and serve the world around me.
