I have a National Diploma in Biotechnology, I have done my internship at the Wits Oral Microbiology lab and have been volunteering there, under Infection Control at Public Health laboratory from June 2017 to July 2018 especially during the Listeriosis outbreak as I wanted to acquire more skills and knowledge. During my experience of training in the Public Health laboratory, I have gained experience in processing and testing food and water samples per appropriate techniques while in the Oral Microbiology lab, I have learnt to also process samples, document lab data, test results and analysis.
