Hello, my name is Marco and I am living in South Africa. It’s nice to meet you!

I’ve completed a Chemical Engineering degree at NWU of Potchefstroom and an Honours degree in Water Utilization at the University of Pretoria. I have also recently completed a GA Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from i-to-i Abroad.

In my career thus far, I have been blessed with rewarding and diverse career opportunities. My career started with a position as Metallurgy Professional in Training at Anglo American where I worked at a Water Treatment Plant (Emalahleni Water Reclamation Plant) for 2 consecutive years. I was then internally transferred to a Thermal Coal Plant (Goedehoop South Plant) where I worked as a Plant Foreman for 7 months.

I recently started working as a tutor for grade 6 & 8 learners and I am absolutely loving it. To be given the opportunity to impart knowledge and skills into the lives of the youth and to empower them to succeed in their everyday lives and to become tomorrow’s leaders is extremely rewarding and motivates me every day to be a better teacher. In my spare time I like to travel, read and participate in sports.

I have a passion for Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Teaching English as a Foreign Language. It is my goal to create a positive learning environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and interested in their learning.
