Dear Family,

My name is Cornelle . I am a 22 year-old (female) Unisa student. I am currently studying teaching, BED INTERMEDIATE phase. I was born in Pretoria, Gauteng and grew up in a small town, Potgietersrus, Limpopo.

I come from a family of 4: My parents and younger brother. I am currently working as a preschool teacher.

After finishing my Bed degree I plan on perusing my masters degree.

My first language is, Afrikaans , and I am also fluent in English. I started learning English in primary school, and it is also the language of instruction I am currently studying in.

When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. As previously mentioned I currently work as a preschool teacher and have previous teaching experience. Among others, I provided after-school tutoring to children aged between 8 to 13 years.

I have helped family and friends care for their children since a young age and is how I developed my love for child care. I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to, reading a good book and has recently taken up sewing as a hobby. I also enjoy painting and on dull or rainy days, I often propose drawing and painting activities to the children I care for. Did I already mention that I love to read and write? At my high school I was part of the official school News letter and is an activity a miss participating in.

As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-out arrangement with a family. I would also prefer looking after children aged between 6 months to 13 years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to persue my studies and spend time with my family as well.
