I love English as a language and a means of communication, as well as a subject! I also love helping whoever wants to improve their English and become more proficient in it.
I am living and teaching English in the UAE at present but would like to return home to either Pretoria or Port Alfred in the near future.

Availability: At present, I`m teaching at a school in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. The UAE is two hours ahead of South Africa, and I teach from 7am to 3-30 pm, (Arabic time = GMT+4). I can, thus , be available from 4-10pm, Arabic time from Sunday to Thursday, and from 9am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday, while I`m in the UAE.
When I`m back in SA, I`ll be available from 9am to 9pm (South African time) all week.

Experience: I have taught English for over 30 years in a range of different capacities - South African schools = Gr 3-12, librarian = Gr 1-7, in the UAE, I`ve been an English advisor to local and expat teachers and I`ve taught English as a foreign language for the past six years.
I got my BA/Ed degree in English and Education at Wits (1987). I also completed one practical and one online TEFL course since then (1992 & 2012).
In addition to this, I also, continually, participate in additional conferences and professional development courses dealing with core subject content and other pedagogy.
