Kathleen

My name is Kathleen . I live in the beautiful town of Knysna in the Western Cape, South Africa. I was born and raised in Knysna and have lived here my whole live.
I am married and have a seven-year-old son. I enjoy adventure, playing games, reading, listening to music, walking and spending time with my family.
My main objective to why I want to teach, is to use and apply my experience and knowledge to the benefits of others. I believe in the power of language and education and I have a desire to invest my time and energy in nurturing children to become better communicators and collaborators.
I have successfully completed a 4 week 140-hour intensive TEFL course, through Knysna English School, South Africa.
I have completed my degree (part time study through UNISA) as well as various other interesting courses.
My teaching style is interactive and I and always try to make my lessons as fun as possible. I believe in using lots of props, realia and flash cards to make the work as easy as possible for my students to understand.

Experience: I gained practical teaching experience (students age 3 – 18 and adult teaching on a one to one and group basis), while completing my TEFL course. I have also been teaching online (students between the ages of 4 and 13 as well as adults) for the last 2 months.
