I am a 23-year-old Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) student currently studying at the University of Pretoria (UP). Born in Wales, raised in Kwa-Zulu Natal since 2010. I matriculated at Felixton College in 2020. This is a small, co-educational school situated approximately two hours north of Durban. Both my parents are employed as teachers at Felixton College. My mother is a grade two teacher, and my father teaches High School Sport and Outdoor Education. After applying to UP, I was accepted to study BSc Agricultural Sciences. After one year I transferred to BSc Animal Sciences and then in 2024 l was accepted at the Onderstepoort campus for BVSc. These years equipped me with a strong academic foundation and a passionate commitment to my dream - to study veterinary science. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through playing hockey for KZN from grade six to eleven and co-captaining my school`s 1st XI hockey team. I have completed Grades 1-3
ABRSM Piano Curriculum. I have tutored both privately and for companies both in person and online for three
years. I have a passion for helping the younger generator excel by simplifying complex concepts and find their passion.

Experience: I have worked as an online tutor for ‘Tutor Doctor’ from March 2023 to November 2023, where I provided academic support across various subjects, specifically Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Chemistry and Biological Sciences, to students of different age groups in person. I decided to leave the company due to travelling long distances to tutor clients which interfered with my studies.
Since March 2024, I have been tutoring independently and privately, offering both in-person and online sessions. This transition has allowed me to tailor my teaching approach to the individual learners’ needs, develop personalised learning plans, and build strong relationships with students and their families. I pride myself in going ‘above-and-beyond’ for my students as I am passionate about providing clarity and understanding to students. I have tutored students following the Cambridge, IEB and CAPS curriculum. The subjects I am most passionate about are Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physical Sciences due to my extensive perusal of these subjects.
