I am a 41 year old mom to three children who are 6, 4 and 2. I am married and live in Fish Hoek. I am an example that you are not too old to learn something new or pursue a dream. I am fascinated by the stories that people carry with them, by what shapes their worldview. I am interested in how people process experiences..what binds us and the absolute uniqueness that separates us, and I love helping, which has always kept me in highly relational and supportive roles. Seeing someone help themselves, learn or achieve a goal from the vantage point of mentor, encourager, listener and supporter is a great feeling. It`s what I was born to do.

Availability: Day time for face to face sessions. At night only via email or whatsapp or text/fb messaging.

Experience: I qualified as a guidance counsellor and English teacher for secondary school. I then travelled and worked abroad for 9 years. Before going back to uni to study Honour In Psychology Counseling stream I worked at a Life Coaching company called Centre for Coaching, based at UCT Graduate School of Business for 6 years where I supported students through their studies whivh involved intensive personal development, and assisted mentors in delivery. I trained as a coach myself. The tools and models are powerful and adaptive. I sought greater depth in the psychology methodology. During my studies I began as a volunteer counselor at Hope House Counseling Centre, Bergvliet. I took a short break recently to write exams to complete my honours course. I completed Therapeutic Psychology and Ecosystemic Psychology in 2014, both with distinctions. I believe the practical environment of Hope House and the support of a supervisor and group work contributed to that.
